Red Bull gives you…. heart damage?
Oy. Based on this study, I will never, ever drink a Red Bull and Vodka ever again.
Researchers in Australia have found that just one sugar free can of Red Bull raised the level of stickiness of the blood and could lead to the formation of blood clots.
But according to Dr. Scott Willoughby, of the Cardiovascular Research Center at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide University, the results of the study were alarming.
"After one can it seemed to turn the young individual into one with more of the type of profile you would expect to see with someone with cardiovascular disease. People who already have existing cardiovascular disease may want to talk to their physician before they drink Red Bull in future," Scott said.
I don’t know about you, but I’m out. there are better drinks in the world than freakin’ red bull and vodka. (image source: RedBull)

I have 2 holes in my heart, so I CAN’T drink it ever. I once, in desperation, drank 1/2 a can, and I almost saw god. Not in the good way, either. In the Knock-Knock, Anyone Home? way. :)

Being a diabetic I am jealous of anyone who can drink just one. But do yourself a favor…don’t!

Really?!? A study that contained 30 whole people?!? Wow it MUST be true!!
With the FDA regulations we have in this country, you seriously think they didn’t delve deeply into Red Bull before allowing it to be allowed into this country? Do me a favor, show me a study with 3000 people that have no heart problems and no history of heart disease in their families and I’ll believe this latest ‘flavor of the month’ news story. You media sheep need to start thinking for yourselves and stop accepting everything you read/hear. Ask questions!! 30 is not an acceptable group size for any scientific study. Were any of them tested for any health issues of any kind, heart, blood or otherwise, before joining the study???

Cathy - the study was done in Australia. Where do you see 30 people? I didn’t say that. I also just reported that a study was conducted. If you’re as upset about this as you appear to be, perhaps you ought to go read the study instead of name calling. Do you work for red bull or do you just really really love it?
